The internet was once again abuzz, as Triple H fired 2017 off to a fantastic, energetic start, re-signing former FCW/NXT start Kassius Ohno a.k.a Chris Hero.
Triple H was quick to tweet the good news;

Hero has been very active on the indy circuit since departing WWE after his original run in FCW, which then rebranded into NXT. He has been involved with many various promotions over the years including PWG, Pro Wrestling NOAH, Ring Of Honor, CZW, Chikara and many International companies, including wXw based in Germany.
This firm fan favourite will find his feet easily as he returns back to NXT, and will go straight into a program with current NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura to challenge for the title.
This news comes fresh after WWE announced the latest signee’s to the WWE Performance Centre which included Independent stars Kimber Lee and Heidi Lovelace – joining them is MaryKate Duignan Glidewell, along with former mixed martial artist Julia Ho.
With the Women’s division in NXT, Raw and SmackDown Live already bursting at the seams with talent, these 4 additions will only secure its future and longevity for 2017 and beyond.
