Pain instrumental in the early 00’s independent wrestling boom
TWM are saddened to learn of the passing of Chris Wilson, better known as Justice Pain. No Cause of death has been revealed, but he sadly passed at just 41 years old.
Combat Zone Wrestling confirmed the news, saying;
We here at CZW are heartbroken to learn of the untimely passing of Chris Wilson, AKA Justice Pain.
Chris was a Combat Zone original, multiple champion, and a true CZW legend. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends, and loved ones. RIP
Wilson was born on the 16th May, 1978. He learned his trade under John Zandig at the CZW Wrestling School alongside his brother Nick Gage. He quickly became a big star, winning the CZW Iron Man Title and a year later, winning the CZW Title at Cage of Death II, both times beating Lobo for the belt. He would go on to win Combat Zone Wrestling’s top prize five times.
He left for XPW in 2003, defeating Chris Candido in what would turn out being the company’s last ever match. He returned to CZW following that and wrestled there until his retirement in 2007. He also performed for Big Japan Wrestling.
Outside of the ring, he was a father to two daughters. TWM sends it’s condolences to the Wilson family at this time.
