FROM SUMMERSLAM TO THE PWGRRRLGANG, DEREK RUNS THROUGH THE LAST SEVEN DAYS IN WRESTLING IN THE FRIDAY FIFTEEN!

    1) How great was the main event of Summerslam?  One of the most fun matches I’ve had the joy of watching in a long time. And everyone came out looking better than they went in, which should always be a goal.

    2) I quite like Rollins/Ambrose reunion happening currently. I don’t know that it needs it, but I’d love to see their next feud push them to the point where they feel it’s necessary to put on the black tactical pants and the vests.

    3) Happy for Natalya on her Women’s Championship win.  A veteran who has been through a lot in the company, and has helped make the division what it is today.

    4) I’ve stated it in multiple occasions, but WWE has an absolute star in Johnny Gargano and this weekend’s TakeOver:BrooklynIII only helped to solidify that.  An absolutely fantastic performance in the opener against Andrade Cien Almas (who also has turned his fortunes around nicely).

    5) Roman Reigns Vs John Cena is actually something I want to see. For the crowd reaction, sure. But it actually feels like a spectacle between two too guys who don’t have much of a history with one another (if any).

    6) Great to see Adam Cole debut in NXT and form an alliance with Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly. Three real talented performers with a built-in backstory. Plus, I’d personally love to see the group run roughshod over the brand, before ultimately being stopped by the next big babyface (Strong? Gargano? Donovan Dijak? Someone else entirely?)
    7) I’m not much of a supporter of fans who are out to get themselves over and make themselves a pseudo-celebrity. Having said that, energetic fans, beachballs included, are integral to a good show, in my opinion.

    8) Nigel McGuinness and Mauro Ranallo are great together. Also not getting enough credit, the new voice of ROH, Ian Riccaboni.

    9) Lio Rush is fantastic. WWE fans who maybe aren’t so familiar with him are in for a real treat.

    10) AAA’s biggest show of the year, TripleMania, will be live-streamed on Twitch for free with English commentary. If you have the time, it comes highly recommended. Low risk chance to check out some great action.

    11) GFW losing some talents who held top spots previously maybe isn’t a bad thing at all for them. However, it’s going to be tough convincing fans to reinvest their time in a new rebuild, when they’ve already seen so many fail.
    12) Attended two WWE live events recently, one televised and one not. Amazing to see how many kids, particularly young girls, arrive decked out in full gear. As the father of daughters, it’s great to see positive role models like Bayley, Shayna Baszler, Becky Lynch, and others connecting with their audience.

    13) Tyson Dux is starting a pro wrestling school. If you’re interested in becoming a wrestler, this would be a great place to start.

    14) Braun Strowman throwing office chairs is legitimately one of my favourite things in a while. Too late to add this into WWE 2K18?
    15)  If you haven’t yet, check out the PWGrrrlGang on Twitter. Doing great things for inclusion in pro wrestling.
