Impact Wrestling is going back to its original three letters. Impact Wrestling will rebrand to Total Nonstop Action in January 2024, as company president Scott D’Amore stated earlier this fall. The Impact name will once again serve as the moniker for the weekly television programme. The promotion has effectively discarded some of the negative connotations attached to the “TNA” moniker and rebranded itself in recent years, which has helped Impact Wrestling’s already explosive momentum soar. Today, fans have come to associate those three letters with some of the greatest moments in wrestling history, like as Kurt Angle’s feud with Samoa Joe and the intense action of the X-Division… and welcome their new signing, Kushida!

KUSHIDA has signed with Impact Wrestling, revealed on social media. The fact that his purchase is being promoted under the “TNA Wrestling” emblems suggests that he will play a major role in the promotion when TNA returns in January.

Under the Impact Wrestling and TNA banners, KUSHIDA has competed in 23 matches. In 2015, he made his company debut on a programme that was a cross-promotional event with Global Force Wrestling. Before turning into a far more consistent competitor in 2023, he wrestled for major performers like Rich Swann and Deaner as a sporadic part of the roster in 2022. In eighteen Impact Wrestling battles so far this year, KUSHIDA has tangoed.

In 2023, KUSHIDA will have been in business for 20 years. His tenure with New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he was the six-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, is what made him most famous. Additionally, he often tags with Impact World Champion Alex Shelley. KUSHIDA and Shelley, together known as The Time-Splitters, are two-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Champions. KUSHIDA spent three years in the WWE after leaving NJPW, with one of his highlights being his one-time NXT Cruiserweight Championship victory. He participated in one AEW match in January of this year.
