On the January 14th edition of Smackdown in Lafayette, Louisiana, Dean Ambrose challenged Kevin Owens to a Last Man Standing Match for the Intercontinental Championship at the Royal Rumble event on January 24th, at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.

    IC Title

This will be the first Last Man Standing Match since April 2015, in-which Roman Reigns defeated the Big Show at Extreme Rules and the first at the Royal Rumble since 2013 where Alberto retained his World Championship against the Big Show. Amazingly, this would be the 35th Last Man Standing match in WWE history, dating back to St Valentines Day Massacre in February 1999 with Mick Foley & The Rock.

As for Dean Ambrose & Kevin Owens this would their 5th Match Together in WWE (and overall, since they never faced each other before), Dean currently has a 2-1-1 record against Kevin thus far. Will Kevin be able to tie up the standings, and retain the Intercontinental Title or can Dean Ambrose channel his inner lunatic, beat Kevin once more and put him to rest? Find out at WWE Royal Rumble on January 24th, and we’ll have LIVE coverage on our Facebook Page & Twitter Feed, aswell as results here.
