New Japan Pro Wrestling returned to the United States once again as more cracks began to show in the Bullet Club, in the ashes of a dream tag team match.

In one of the biggest tag team matches in New Japan’s history, The Golden Lovers (Kenny Omega & Kota Ibushi) won an unbelievable, heated contest again The Young Bucks, which saw friendship thrown to one side and Omega and Ibushi hitting the Golden Trigger on Matt Jackson.

The story truly began post-match, as C0dy heads to ring and berated the Bucks, even shoving Nick Jackson down to the mat. Kenny Omega ran back to run off Cody, and offers his hand in a truce. Nick accepted the offer, but Matt walked away seemingly unable to not forgive Omega for now.

The dissension in the Bullet Club started earlier in the night, as even though Cody tried to get his match alongside Marty Scurll against his “team-mates” the Guerillas of Destiny called off, however the Tongan’s made their feelings felt when they said they are not on ‘Team Cody’. Cody and Scurll picked up the win after some miscommunication between the G.O.D lead to Cody hitting Crossrhodes for the win.

Speaking of Marty Scurll, he made himself known to Lucha legend Rey Mysterio. As IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Will Ospreay, following his Oscutter-assisted victory over Jushin Thunder Liger, challenged Mysterio to a match in the near future, Scurll rushed the ring and smashed his umbrella off the back of The Aerial Assassin. Then, true to his villain status, he stole the mask of Rey Mysterio and paraded it around the ring.

We got a taste of next weeks Sakura Genesis main event, as Zack Sabre Jr and Minoru Suzuki beat the tandem of Tomohiro Iishi and IWGP Heavyweight Champion Kazuchika Okada when Sabre Jr forced Iishi to verbally submit. Post-match, the current holder of the New Japan Cup put one of his vicious submission holds on Okada, possibly showing a sign of things to come.

In our only title match of the event, IWGP United States Champion Jay White beat Hangman Page when White countered Right Of Passage into Bladerunner for the win. Post-match, David Finlay Jr attacked White with a spear, announcing he’d never be done fighting ‘Switchblade’ and challenged him to a title match down the line.

Meanwhile, in eight man tag team action Los Ingobernables de Japon (Testuya Naito, BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi & SANADA) beat the quartet of Ryusuke Taguchi, Dragon Lee, KUSHIDA & Hiroshi Tanahashi, when Naito beat Taguchi with Destino.

Killer Elite Squad picked up a big win against the comedy team of CHAOS, Chuckie T and Toru Yano when they overcame the duos shenanigans to hit Chuckie T with the Killer Elite Bomb.

David Finlay Jr and Juice Robinson raised their stock even further by beating the experienced duo of  NEVER Openweight Champion Hirooki Goto and Gedo, when Finlay hit the stunner on Gedo.

Finally, Roppongi 3k (SHO & YOH) alongside Rocky Romero bested the team of SoCal Uncensored (Christopher Daniels, Frankie Kazarian and Scorpio Sky) when they hit 3k on Sky.
