Triple H announced today on twitter that NXT will make its New York City debut on Saturday 22nd August 2015 at the Barclays Center for “NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn, New York”, the same venue that will host SummerSlam the following night.

With RAW also emanating from there on Monday 24th August, it means WWE will be running the building 3 nights in a row.

It is by far the biggest venue NXT has ever run. The venue holds 18,000 and the highest attendance thus far for an NXT show was at WrestleMania 31 weekend, when a live event drew a legitimate sell-out of 4,500 at The Event Center in San Jose, CA.

It’ll also mark the first time WWE have held an NXT TakeOver live special outside of their Full Sail University home in Orlando, FL.

Tickets go on sale on Saturday 18th July with details of the card to follow soon.

The Barclays Center has previously held editions of Monday Night RAW aswell as Tables, Ladders, & Chairs 2012 which featured Team Hell No (Daniel Bryan & Kane) vs. The Shield.
