To celebrate the anniversary of the PPV, In Your House the NXT Superstars bring us a stacked card.

The show opened up with Todd Pettengill giving us a rundown of the night’s card. We then went ring side as Code Orange played us to truly open the show.

Tegan Nox, Shotzi Blackheart, and Mia Yim defeated Dakota Kai, Raquel Gonzalez, and Candice LeRae via Pinfall (Shiniest Wizard)

An excellent opening match up. We saw a picture perfect tope rope Molly Go Round by Tegan Nox. Dives by LeRae and Blackheart. Gonzalez was a huge factor for LeRae and Kai, but there was a lot of miscommunication. After LeRae and Yim brawled to the back, Kai missed a kick and wound up taking out Gonzalez….this led to Nox getting the pinfall.

We then got a promo, commercial (?), for the WWE Good Humor ice cream bars.

Back from that cameras were backstage, as an angry and focused Rhea Ripley was preparing for her NXT Women’s Championship match.

Before the next match, we got a recap of the rivalry between Finn Balor and Damian Priest.

Finn Balor defeated Damian Priest via Pinfall (Coup de Grace)

Priest definitely gave it his all, even after Balor delivered a drop kick to him before the bell. Although Priest looked like he would put Balor away multiple times, Balor continued to keep the match going. After going for a Razor’s Edge that would have caused Balor to land on the stairs…Balor escaped. Priest ended up taking a hard landing on the stairs and that helped lead to Balor’s victory.

Before the next match, we saw Io Shirai getting focused for her match.

We got a recap of Johnny Gargano’s feud with Keith Lee. Then we got the entrance of Johnny Gargano, who came out the door of the ring set. Gargano locked the door behind him, giving a little smirk as he remembered his actions from the last week.

Keith Lee made his entrance in some really awesome Black Lives Matter gear and we were off!

Keith Lee defeated Johnny Gargano to retain the North American Championship

Keys and attacking Lee’s injured hand could not help Gargano become a 2-time North American Champion. Although Lee had the injuries there was no stopping him from retaining his title, not even when Candice LeRae tried to get involved. Two Spirit Bombs and a Big Bang Catastrophe, Lee walked out with the championship still in his possession.

Another promo for WWE ice cream bars and then we saw Charlotte Flair preparing for her match.

Time for the NXT Championship match, we got a bit of a recap of how we got to the Backlot Brawl and then the cameras took us there.

Adam Cole is the first one to make his entrance and he came in driving a custom Undisputed Era monster truck. The Velveteen Dream showed up shortly after, arriving in a yellow Lamborghini. Dream arrived with a baseball.

The rules of the match are explained and away we go!

Adam Cole defeated Velveteen Dream via Pinfall (Panama Sunrise)

This was just a wild affair. Roderick Strong and Bobby Fish got kidnapped by Dexter Lumis. Adam Cole got put through a car windshield. Velveteen Dream got put through a bunch of chairs. But continuing his dominance, Adam Cole BAY BAY! The 372 day reign continues.

Karrion Kross defeated Tommaso Ciampa via Submission (Kross Jacket)

Well, in his TakeOver debut Kross defeated one of the most dominant NXT Superstars in recent years. It was not a close match really, Ciampa did hit the Willow’s Belle and a few other moves, but Kross really took over.

After the match, the cameras pan the crowd and we see Code Orange hanging out. Then we saw Robert Stone, once again looking extremely rough after being fired by Chelsea Green.

Renee Young then checked in with us and told us to check out her interview with Triple H on Facebook Live after the PPV.

Io Shirai defeated Rhea Ripley and Charlotte Flair to become the new NXT Women’s Champion.

In what could be considered a match of the year contender, Io Shirai has finally captured the NXT Women’s Championship. While Charlotte Flair had Rhea Ripley in the Figure Eight, Io had climbed to the top rope. Io hit a moonsault on to Ripley and got the three count. It is definitely a match worth checking out!

We end In Your House with Io Shirai in a ring covered with streamers and confetti.
