Show to be held in front of ‘only essential personnel’
WWE have now confirmed that this weeks SmackDown will take place at the WWE Performance Centre.
Due to the ongoing issues surrounding the Coronavirus pandemic, the decision has been made to hold this weeks show in front of only select members of WWE staff.
WWE released a statement, saying;
“WWE has not cancelled Friday Night SmackDown in Detroit, however, based on the current situation, we are putting contingency plans in place in the event that upcoming WWE shows are cancelled by government officials, civil authorities and/or local venues.”
SmackDown was originally set to be held in Detroit, Michigan.
