A second WWE employee tested positive for COVID-19 earlier this week

Several sources have revealed that WWE have cancelled today’s taping of SmackDown.

Sean Ross Sapp and Gary Cassidy first broke the news of the cancellation but no official confirmation has been made as of yet. PWInsider have seemingly confirmed the news.

This comes after a trainee tested positive for Coronavirus earlier this week, which led to the postponement of yesterday’s tapings. Since then, everyone has been subject to tests over the last two days.

The tapings have begun but with everything behind schedule, according to PWInsider. These sources are also saying that superstars and staff are cutting a frustrated figure.

This weeks episode was already recorded this past Monday, so the SmackDown that was due to be taped was next weeks.

RAW, RAW Talk, Main Event and two episodes of 205 live will be taped, followed by the live NXT broadcast and lastly, will tape next weeks episode.

The cancelled SmackDown taping will now be done of the 26th of June.
