WWE officially announced on Friday morning that the company will resume live event touring starting on Friday, July 16th. The schedule for that weekend is as follows…

    • Friday, July 16th: Smackdown at the Toyota Center in Houston, TX
    • Sunday, July 18th: Money In The Bank at Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, TX
    • Monday, July 19th: RAW at American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX

WWE’s recent decision to reconfigure its pay-per-view schedule was at least partly motivated by a desire to have Money in the Bank 2021 play out before a live crowd.

This is according to Sports Illustrated’s Justin Barrasso, whose sources state that WWE believes Hell in a Cell is better suited to the ThunderDome, while Money in the Bank is better with an audience, hence the changes.

The tour begins with the July 16 edition of Friday Night SmackDown on FOX at the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas.

When Covid-19 forced a worldwide lockdown in March of 2020, it seemed as if everything around was going to be temporarily put on hold. However, the WWE continued matches as if nothing had happened.

Whilst criticized at first and their handling still being a point of scrutiny, their continuance has been an escape for many viewers. In this era, WWE still managed to put on some brilliant matches.

WWE had fans return for the two nights Spectacle at this year’s WrestleMania event but as of that date have been performing in the ThunderDome set with the virtual fans. Prior to WrestleMania 37, the last WWE show with a large audience present was an episode of Raw that took place in Washington, D.C. back in March of 2020.

There’s no official news regarding SummerSlam, but this will be announced in the coming weeks one would imagine.
