WWE has just announced that Elias has obtained an injury and will not be able to compete in his scheduled King Of The Ring match with Chad Gable.
Elias had been on a roll recently, beating both Kevin Owens and Ali en route to his semi final against Gable as well as regaining the WWE 24/7 Championship for a short stint.
PWInsider has reported and it was mentioned on SmackDown that Elias has suffered an ankle injury, but there is no timeframe for his return. Elias was replaced by Shane McMahon in the King of The Ring semi-final, losing to Chad Gable.
