1. WrestleCon 2019: US vs. The World
You will get to see a lot of international talent on the WrestleCon’s US vs. The World show, battling it out with the American talent, if the name wasn’t clear enough. The show took place on April 5 and featured a plethora of wrestlers from Japan, Canada, and Mexico.
Talent from Dragon Gate were scheduled to appear as well but sadly, that didn’t happen due to visa issues. The card was still stacked, and the show was strong.
Rich Swann vs. Jiro “Ikemen” Kuroshiro, The Hart Foundation vs. LAX, Brian Cage vs. Masato Tanaka are some of the matches on the card and it just sounds exciting.

2. GCW Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport
The shoot style of wrestling arrived during Mania Weekend as MMA legend Josh Barnett hosted the second edition of Bloodsport.
From the White Eagle Hall in New Jersey, the pro-wrestling event with its own special rules took place on April 4.
The ruleset is simple: fights can only end with KO, submission, forfeit or disqualification. No pinfalls. This is very MMA style. Also, there are no ropes on the ring.

3. DDT Is Coming To America
DDT Pro-Wrestling did their first ever show in the country weirdly titled ‘DDT Is Coming To America’ in on April 4 in La Boom, Queens, New York.
DDT is known for their cartoonish potrayal of wrestling and the promotion is looked at as something you should watch when you’re in the mood for laughs.
DDT’s first show for the American crowd was no different and they made the best use of this opportunity to showcase what they’re all about. I mean, Joey Ryan and Danshoku Dieno were on the card… you know what to expect.
But that’s not all, there were some good matches too. The battle royal for the Iron Man Heavymetalweight Title. It was a really fun match filled with entertaining goofiness the promotion is known for. Other matches to check out are the Weapon Rumble In U.S.A. match, Konosuke Takeshita vs. Daisuke Sasaki for the KO-D Openweight Title. But really though, you should sit through the entire show because there’s something for everyone at DDT. It’s available on FITE TV.
4. Joey Janela’s Spring Break III
Another unique show from Game Changer Wrestling, Joey Janela’s Spring Break goes into its third year and will be presented in two parts.
Part 1, which took place on April 5 featured matches such as Taka Michinoku vs. Orange Cassidy, Shinjiro Otani vs. Nick Gage for the GCW Heavyweight Championship, an ‘Anything Goes’ bout between Masashi Takeda and Jimmy Lloyd, and a match between Invisible Man vs. Invisible Stan. Don’t ask what that’s about, just check out the show on FITE TV.
The second part gets more wacky and features ‘The Greatest Clusterfuck’ battle royal as the main highlight of the show. But that’s not all, as there are still a few cool matches on the card. Masato Tanaka vs. LA Park and LAX vs. Rock n’ Roll Express are worth checking out. In one of those matches, someone gets powerbombed through a door. Yes.
Anyway, back to the battle royal, it includes names such as Essa Ríos, Nate Webb, Brendan B. Brown, Crowbar, MJF, and many more. As the name heavily suggests, it is a clusterf*ck, and it is entertaining.
5. G1 Supercard
Two of the biggest promotions from across the world come together to bring you a historic show for the first time in decades at the Madison Square Garden.
The card contains some pretty solid matches from both the promotions, and all the titles were being defended from both parts of the world.
Matches to check out for sure are Tetsuya Naito vs. Kota Ibushi, Cobb vs. Ospreay, Jay Lethal vs. Matt Taven vs. Marty Scurll in a ladder match for the ROH title, and Jay White vs. Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship. The entire show is filled with matches that are suitable to different tastes. There is also a little surprise appearance at the show.
This is THE non-WWE show that wrestling fan needs to check out. Seeing another wrestling promotion apart from WWE at the MSG alone makes it worth watching.
