It was revealed today that five superstars from the NXT brand of WWE have been released. Bull Dempsey, Sylvester Lefort, Marcus Louis, Peter Howard and Oscar Vasquez (Magno) have departed ways with the company.
Magno had worked some NXT events using his real name but has never appeared on NXT TV. Peter Howard, a former rugby player from the UK, also never made it to TV and hasn’t worked many live events.
Dempsey is a surprise for most as he has recently been given the new ‘Bull Fit’ gimmick, after working TV and live events it seemed to be doing very well and he was getting a positive response from the live crowds.
There hasn’t been any information yet on reasons, but it is likely that the company is having a ‘spring clean up’ similar to WWE’s annual releases.
