Legendary wrestling manager and WWE Hall of Famer, Mr. Fuji has passed away.
In a career that spanned over 30 years, Mr. Fuji (real name Harry Fujiwara) was perhaps best known to most fans as the manager of former WWE World Champion and fellow WWE Hall of Famer, Yokozuna as well as WWE Hall of Famer Don Muraco. With his trademark flag, his cane and a handy bag of salt, Mr. Fuji was a force to be reckoned with, and a handful for every competitor who encountered him or his clients. Who could forget the “Fuji Vice” skits?
As an in-ring competitor, Mr. Fuji was a former five-time World Tag Team Champion and was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.
Along with managing Yokozuna, Mr. Fuji helped guide the careers on television of Kamala, Demolition, George “The Animal” Steele, The Powers of Pain and “The Magnificent” Don Muraco
In 2003, Pro Wrestling Illustrated listed him in the 500 greatest singles wrestlers of all time, coming in at #445.
