It appears that one of NXT’s commentary trio will be stepping away from the booth, and the business altogether.
Earlier today, Casey Michael of Squared Circle Sirens had revealed that Percy Watson had quit WWE to persue a career in acting, saying;
“Dead at Percy Watson quitting NXT. He wants to do acting and not be a commentator/personality/wrestler, apparently.”
Watson’s future was put into question at the latest NXT tapings when he was not at the NXT tapings earlier this month, with Beth Phoenix joined the team to call the action at Full Sail. Many wondered if this was a one-time deal but it appears with this development, Beth will be joining the team permanently.
Watson first joined WWE as a wrestler in 2010 before leaving in 2013. He then rejoined as a part of the commentary team in December of 2016.
