Former NXT Tag Team Champions third and fourth releases today
Konnor and Viktor, known as The Ascension, have been released by WWE.
In a statement on their website, WWE said;
“WWE has come to terms on the releases Ryan Parmeter (Konnor) and Eric Thompson (Viktor) of The Ascension. WWE wishes them all the best in their future endeavours.”
The Ascension had originally begun in FCW in 2011, but the team in it’s current incarnation formed in NXT in 2013, winning the NXT Tag Team Championships on October 2nd.
They moved up to the main roster in 2014 and found limited success, working alongside Stardust for a period and were the sidekicks of Breezango for a while.
