For those of you who were excited at the prospect of seeing The Deadman on the convention circuit (dear god, think of the prices), you can once again sit back and thank Vincent Kennedy McMahon for sparing your wallets.

It had been rumoured that The Undertaker’s contract had expired with WWE, and the announcement that he was due to be at Starrcast II poured fuel on those flames. He had removed all mention of WWE from his social media accounts, and seemed to be done with the company.

However, around the lead up to WrestleMania, reports came out that McMahon was trying to tie Taker back down to a deal that would prevent him from any appearances outside of events hosted by the WWE themselves. Now WrestleMania has come and gone, and The Deadman appeared on last week’s Raw after WrestleMania, Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio reported that the deal is done and will likely see Taker perform a handful of appearances for the company he’s worked for exclusively over the past three decades.

This led to Inside The Ropes being forced to pull Undertaker from his Q&A tour, only able to do the Meet & Greet portion and having Mick Foley take his place.

This deal most likely means that Undertaker will be at the show WWE is hosting in Saudi Arabia, probably interacting in some way with Elias, who he tombstoned during last week’s Monday night Raw. Whether it could be a match or not remains to be seen, as he hasn’t wrestled since last year’s Saudi show.
