After a time of uncertainty from the company about its future with Destination America, TNA Wrestling has announced this afternoon that they have signed a deal with POP Tv in America and will begin to air on January 5th at 8pm Central.

Before Destination America, TNA programming ran on Spike from 2005-2014. Pop TV reaches 80 million homes in the U.S, while one would assume that TNA is paying for the timeslot on POP TV and then will try to get their money back by selling advertisers to the show, similar to what WWE did with Smackdown on UPN. POP TV is based on Los Angeles, the same as UTA, who represents TNA for TV discussions.

“Wrestling has been a fan-fueled staple since the ’50s and continues to be some of the most watched, appointment-tune content in all of television today,” said Pop president Brad Schwartz. “The die-hard fandom and extraordinary passion surrounding Impact Wrestling captures the spirit of Pop as a network that celebrates fan driven entertainment and excitement.”

Pop TV are usually included on a basic cable tier, instead of a second, subscription-only tier like DA. TNA will leave DA in early 2016.
