INSANE CHAMPIONSHIP WRESTLING CAME OFF THEIR BIGGEST SHOW OF 2016 WITH THEIR FIRST PAY-PER-VIEW EVENT OUTSIDE OF SCOTLAND, WITH THE 2017 SQUARE GO IN NEWCASTLE, ENGLAND.
Last night, a packed house at the o2 Academy saw a new ICW World Heavyweight Champion as Trent Seven finally defeated Wolfgang in a brutal match up, finished with Trent hitting the now former champ with a middle rope piledriver onto a pile of chairs.
We also have new ICW Tag Team Champions as Bird and Boar shockingly unseated Polo Promotions in a fantastic, hard-hitting opener. The woman at the top of Insane Championship Wrestling did not change, as Kay Lee Ray defended her ICW Women’s Championship in a back-and-forth battle against Kasey. Kenny Williams also defended his ICW Zero G Championship against Ricochet in a show stealing contest.
In the sixth annual Square Go match, Joe Coffey saw off such names as Johnny Moss, Rampage Brown, Lionheart, Iestyn Rees, Davey Blaze, DCT, Drew Galloway, Chris Renfrew, Stevie Boy and BT Gunn to earn an ICW World Title match whenever he wants within one calendar year, lastly eliminating Wolfgang, who put himself in the match following his title match.
In non-title action, Lewis Girvan forced Andy Wild to submit to become the number one contender for the ICW Zero-G Title.
