WWE today confirmed that the much rumoured ‘Global Cruiserweight Series’ will be coming to the WWE Network in July 2016. It will consist of a 32-man tournament in which all competitors must be under 205 lbs, and the winner will undoubtedly win a contract with WWE NXT (if they aren’t already signed) and be crowned the greatest cruiserweight in wrestling.
It will be filmed in a 10-week period featuring matches from cruiserweights all around the world, competing at Full Sail University in Orlando, FL.
The show will air on July 13th, 2016 at 9pm ET.
