All-new teams for both Raw and SmackDown, commencing during ‘WWE Premiere Week’
As rumoured by @WrestleVotes earlier this week, WWE has now confirmed two all new commentary teams for their two flagship shows.
In a press release, regarding ‘WWE Premiere Week’, WWE announce RAW will now be fronted by 205 Live and NXT UK play-by-play man Vic Joseph alongside his colour commentary partner Dio Maddin, who only made his commentary debut a few weeks ago. They will also be joined by Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler as an analyst.
SmackDown will have WWE stalwart Michael Cole alongside Corey Graves, with Renee Young as a ‘special contributor’. She is set to be fronting the upcoming WWE show on FS1.
NXT’s commentary team remains the same, with Mauro Ranallo calling the action alongside Nigel McGuinness and Beth Phoenix.
An interesting omission from this is the now former lead SmackDown announcer Tom Phillips, who has not been announced for any show.
