After nine years with the WWE, Cody Rhodes requests release from his contract.
Cody Rhodes (also known as “Stardust”) stated today on his personal Twitter account that he has asked for his release from the WWE:
(1/2) The past ten years have been quite the trek, but as of earlier today I have asked for my release from @WWE

Cody has been on the active roster for nine years, debuting in 2007 teaming up with Hardcore Holly. Since then, we’ve seen him find stardom with Randy Orton as part of the “Legacy” stable, win the Intercontinental championship twice, and become a multiple tag-team champion with his brother Goldust.
Rhodes’ wife Brandi, otherwise known as Eden in the WWE, tweeted the following in support of his decision;
