Just 11 months back in the WWE, Alberto Del Rio released, moves on to new ventures.

It has been long rumoured over the past month since his suspension, and today WWE finally confirmed that Alberto Del Rio released from the company, and has left the on good terms.

Many sources have been reporting that Del Rio, 39, was unhappy after being promised a World Title push upon signing his latest contract. However, things never got started, after an impressive return which saw Del Rio defeat John Cena or the United States Championship, it went downhill after renaming it the “MexAmerican” Championship and shortly lost the US Championship to Kalisto on Raw, promptly won it back, then lost it again at the Royal Rumble.

Seeming at a lost point in his returning career, he was put in a stable with Wade Barrett, Sheamus and Rusev as the “League Of Nations” was born. Again, with two former world champions League certainly had potential, including a win over The New Day at WrestleMania 32, but shortly after Barrett was released the group disbanded as the 3 remaining members went back on their own ways.

A loss to John Cena on SmackDown and a suspension following a violation of the WWE Wellness Program planted the nail firmly in the coffin of Alberto Del Rio and an announcement was made on WWE.com and Del Rio’s personal Twitter account.
