Former NXT Tag Team Champions gone from the company

    World Wrestling Entertainment have announced that Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson have been released from their contract.

    In a statement on the WWE website, it said;

    Effective today, Friday April 10, 2020, WWE and The Revival have agreed on their immediate release from WWE. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours.

    Ryan Satin has confirmed that the phrase “immediate release” means there isn’t a 90-day no-compete clause, meaning they can sign for any promotion immediately.

    The Revival, known as Dash Wilder and Scott Dawson, debuted on NXT in 2014 where they achieved their biggest success. They were two-time NXT

    Tag Team Champions before getting called up to RAW on 2017, where they defeated The New Day.

    They did achieve some success, winning both the RAW and SmackDown Tag Team Titles. However they ended up asking for their release in 2019 and several times after that.

    They have not been on TV since March 1st and have not featured in any of the closed-set episodes of RAW, SmackDown or on either day of WrestleMania 36.
