On February 10, 2021, actress Charisma Carpenter known from Buffy and Angel released a statement regarding her former employer Joss Whedon. In the statement published on Twitter she stated Whedon was creating a toxic work environment. She stated and recalled her experiences with Joss Whedon as an employer. Carpenter continued to share the emotional distress it caused her during her pregnancy.
